From Gai Oni to - Rosh Pina, after the pioneers of the Galilee

 

A visit the  picturesque village of Rosh-pina:

The story begins with a group of hasidics from Safed that had a desire for working the land, they  purchased land and water rights, settled near the arab village of Ja-uni, calling their new settlement:  Gai Oni.  allthough, they were not Successfull they had paved the way for pioneers from romanian town of Mmoins  who renewed the colony and called it: Rosh Pina.

We will climb up the stream to the spring of rosh pina and tell about Aaron Aaronson who had discovered the wheat here, and recall the Palmach boys and girls who have risen from here to Mount Canaan in 1948 in the War of Independence to bring redemptionto the  besieged city - Safed.

We will visit the pioneers street and its colorful characters past and present

visit the Barons Garden and sit outside the offices of the Baron's offics...
