On Friday mornings, the city bustling in last minute shopping and the smell of Shabbat cooking is bursting through the stoned walls homes

We start our journey in the Mamluk quarter and the Red Mosque, where we will learn about the historical foundations of Safed - hashmonaim Crusaders, Mamelukes

We'll walk around the famous artists' colony and hear colorful stories about the artists, the atmosphere and the effect on Safed in the 1950's and 1960's. This is where we take a break for coffee and a visit to the Sculptors and Painters' general exhibition

Continue to Safed's Jewish core at the center of our journey. Down to the district of  exiles from Spain and go to synagogue Isaac Abuhav. Where we will discuss the three elements of Safed in the 16th century: Halacha, Hymn/ Poetry and cabbala. This is an opportunity to make a stop into the authentic dairy Workshop/factory

We'll Climb up to the Hasidic district that began in the 18th century and shaped Safed for generations. Do not miss the Ashkenazi synagogue named Holy h'Ari.

Finish with a colorful Judaica market, it is recommended after the tour to continue to roam independently

The tour lasts two and a half 10:00 to 12:30

Is recommended to bring comfortable walking shoes, women should bring a scarf to the synagogue entrance only.
